Professor Lilia Umnova, a concert violinist and teacher, received her musical education at the outstanding musicians who continue the most important traditions of Russian violin school: Professor Jury Vitenson, Professor Mikhail Reyson and Professor Semyon Snitkovsky.

 

After completing of her postgraduate studies at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky - Conservatory Lilia Umnova worked about 20 years at the Belarusian State Conservatory, as well as at the Republican College of Music at the Belarusian State Academy of Music as the head of the string department.

 

Since 1999 Lilia Umnova has been living and working in Germany. From 2002 till 2012 she worked as a professor of violin at the Royal Conservatory of Ghent (Belgium).

Since 2012 Lilia Umnova has been professor at the LUCA- School of Arts, Campus Lemmens (Leuven, Belgium).

The Graduates and students of her class are laureates of national and international violin competitions leading the active professional career of soloists, chamber musicians, artists of orchestras and teachers in Belarus, Russia, CIS, Europe, Asia and America.

 

Many times Lilia Umnova was a member of the jury of national and international violin competitions.

 

Master classes of Professor Lilia Umnova were held in Belgium, Germany, France, England, Poland, Russia, Belaru.

Since 2016 - member of the International Academy of Performing Arts and Sciences.

 

2017 - 2018 - guest professor of Violin at the Conservatory Maastricht (Netherlands)

 

Lilia Umnova leads successfully concerts as a soloist and member of chamber ensembles. Her concerts are held in Germany, Belgium, Holland, France, England, Iceland, Sweden, Denmark, Poland, the Republic of Belarus, Russia, and CIS...
